Empire's Lucious and Cookie in Jozi !

Empire’s Taraji P Henson and Terrance Howard were in the country to promote the upcoming third season of Fox’s Hit Tv show Empire as well as to promote the opening of Fox to all DSTV compact customers.

They began their tour in South Africa at Mulitchoice City in Randburg for a press conference and to greet some fans. In anticipation of the cast being in the country #LyonsInJozi trended on social networks. Throughout the week they made appearances on local radio stations and had a dinner at the beautiful Hyatt Regency in Rosebank, with some local celebrities in attendance. “Cookie” (Taraji P Henson) visited Soweto and posed by a mural with co-star Terrance Howard on Empire road in Johannesburg.

DSTV and FOX ran a competition on their social networks for “super-fans” to attend an exclusive event to meet Cookie and Lucious Lyon.

Fox invited me to attend the event at Harem Night club in Rosebank last Thursday (9th June 2016). The event featured a performance by Donald, DA L.E.S and DJ Zinhle. Other celebrities were also at the event. Taraji and Terrance got a taste of local South African music. I managed to get an autograph, but unfortunately the meet and greet section of the event had to be cancelled. I met other Fox fans who enjoyed the event as well, many of them wanted the entire Lyon family to attend the tour.
